"Pregunta Al Gurú" is the second film conceived by The Coders Room, a Film3 community that creates films and content. The film narrates a surreal experience shared by a popular Guru, his audience and a mysterious caller that is set to take the host of the show down; it has been originally written by Steve Deery and polished by the talented writers inside The Coders Room, all as a community effort to produce the independent cinema we want to see. All the future revenues from the film will be split between everyone involved in the creative process, both, from The Coders Room, and the crew that will produce the film.

In a popular TV show, a charismatic guru invites the public to share their happiness, but when a mysterious caller sets out to expose the guru's troubled past, he must fight to regain his happiness and win back the faith of his skeptical audience.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking for $3500 to help us finish the production of "Pregunta al Gurú", this funds will cover the payment of the crew members, the production and the post production. Any additional funds raised from this campaign will go to produce future films from The Coders Room, currently there's an additional film titled "The Brothers" scheduled to be shot mid January.

THE PRODUCTION
30% of the funding of the film has been secured and will go in to cover the immediate expenses like sound stage rental, set dressing, food and transportation for the crew; however the other 70% is needed to pay the crew, equipment rental, production design, post production in general and the detailed VFX work that will be needed for this film. Principal photography will go on the 19th, 20th an 21st of December.
The sound stage has been already booked for principal photography, and all the pre production arrangements are being worked on right now; the shooting is secured and will happen no matter what, the biggest challenge involved in this production is the fact that we will be working on a chroma key studio, so there's gonna be an important work to be done in post production to make sure the film works as intended; however using technologies like UE5 for the creation of the fictional set in combination with real set dressing and props that will be created for the film, we are confident that the results are gonna be mind blowing.
THE GURU
The Guru is a character created within the universe of "Silene" a horror limited series being developed by Vox In, the audiovisual collective behind The Coders Room; dancing between spirituality, comedy, positive vibes and horror, the character of The Guru was conceived to generate conflicted emotions on the audience. As of today The Guru has been featured in the first film created by The Coders Room, "Aurelio's Nightmare", were he delivers a bizarre monologue around time and happiness. This is a character that already exists but is still under construction with the efforts of a community of creatives; "Pregunta Al Gurú" will be the first stand alone piece from The Guru, and its intended to give the audience a peek behind the skin of the charismatic and bizarre 80s character.
VOX IN
The production collective behind this film is a Film3 enterprise that aims to push the boundaries between traditional filmmaking and web3. The team is lead by Luis Enrique Vanegas Obando, or FilmFreako as he is known in the community, a Colombian filmmaker that has been pushing different projects and initiatives while building community in the space since January 2022. The vision for this film and all the future films produced by Vox In is to bring a chance for communities to be a part of the entire production process.
